Senior Manager in the Internal Audit department for the eThekwini Municipality. His career began at Deloitte in 2002, where he spent 8 progressive years in the IT Risk and Advisory field, after which he left Deloitte as a Specialist Manager responsible for Information Security Audits. Mazwi is an ambitious, focused and goal-driven individual who has more than 23 years of experience in IT Audit, Risk, IT Governance, Information Security and Cybersecurity spheres.

He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Certifed Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE). He has a B-Tech Degree in IT from the Durban University of Technology, and a Masters Degree in Information Systems and Technology from the University of KwaZulu Natal.
